Cobalt chrome is the hardest material most laboratories put through a milling machine, and it punishes anything that is not made for it. The cutting edge has to stay keen under load and the substrate behind it has to take the heat, otherwise the tool rounds off and you are rubbing rather than cutting — slow, hot and hard on the spindle. These are a dedicated CoCr range: heavier core for rigidity, coated for the heat, and sequenced so that T1 and T2 take the bulk away and the smaller tools bring out the margin. Keep a separate set for CoCr; mixing them with your titanium tools shortens the life of both.
